The Nappanee Police Department has numerous sworn officers and 2 civilians on staff. We are organized into 7 divisions; patrol division, investigations division, specialized units, drug task force, training, SWAT, and the office staff unit.

Training

The Nappanee Police Department places a high priority on training. The Nappanee Police Department as a whole contains many expert instructors in various specialties including firearms and tactics, emergency vehicle operations, accident reconstruction, active threat situations and physical tactics. These instructors not only train officers in this department but are often invited to share their expertise statewide with other agencies and also by instructing at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
