Procedure

1. Submit application for inspection to info@nappanee.org
2. City forester will do an on-site inspection to verify that the tree(s) are within City Right of Way and the health of tree(s).
3. Based on the City forester report, the trees will either be added to the next work order, or held for reassessment. If the trees are deemed healthy and safe, they will not be removed at this time.

Procedure

1. Submit application for removal to info@nappanee.org
2. Tree board liaison will reach out to you regarding the next meeting date and documents you will need to petition the tree board regarding your request.

Residents may request an application to have replacement trees planted or if they would like new plantings. The Tree Board covers all cost but homeowners are responsible for watering and care.

Please note there is currently a waitlist for tree plantings. To be added to this list, please contact info@nappanee.org

The Tree Board celebrates Arbor Day annually by educating residents about the importance of trees and how they are necessary to the ecosystem.

Previous activities also include; community scavenger hunt, and essay contests at each elementary school.

The Tree Board also assists with celebrating Earth Day by planting a yearly tree.
