The Nappanee Elder Haus Senior Center is feeling the holiday spirit thanks to a generous $1,000 donation from the Clayton Wakarusa Impact Team. The check was presented to Director Kim Howenstine and Assistant Director Tammy Rock, along with three seniors from the community center, as part of Clayton's ongoing commitment to supporting the local senior community.
This donation will go a long way in bringing holiday cheer, including providing $20 Martin’s gift cards to attendees at the Elder Haus’s annual Friendsgiving meal, which hosted approximately 50 guests this year.
Director Kim Howenstine shared her gratitude, reflecting on Clayton's continued support:
“Last year, your generosity helped us transform a water-damaged room into our beautiful new living room. Your Mobile Food Banks and the kindness of your staff, who brought joy by singing and sharing candy, have been blessings to our seniors. We are so grateful to serve in such a kind, generous, and supportive community.”
The Elder Haus team expressed heartfelt thanks to the Clayton Impact Team for their generosity and the positive impact they continue to have on the lives of local seniors. This partnership is a testament to the power of community and the joy that can be spread through acts of giving.
Thank you, Clayton, for making the holidays brighter for our seniors!
